Hands-on training in using the Tristle Monitoring Solution, a digital tool used for tracking the progress of farm plots
Learning how to operate the Polygon Recorder for capturing accurate land boundaries
Practical field exercises on taking GPS recordings of farm plots and correcting shapefiles to reflect true field conditions
This training equips our team to ensure real-time, geo-tagged monitoring of 4,500 acres spread across Chittoor district, where CROSS is supporting 1,500 small and marginal farmers in transitioning to climate-resilient forestry models.
Our team has returned with improved technical skills and renewed commitment to maintaining data accuracy, ensuring that every planted sapling is mapped, monitored, and accounted for.

CROSS is proud to be a key partner in one of India’s most ambitious climate action initiatives—the Farm Forestry Alliance, led by Fair Climate Services Private Limited (FCS). This collaborative project spans nine districts across India, with a mission to promote sustainable agroforestry, enhance farmer incomes, and combat climate change through large-scale tree plantation efforts.

This initiative will not only sequester carbon and improve soil health, but also provide long-term economic benefits to local farmers through diversified, climate-resilient livelihoods.
Currently, CROSS has begun intensive preparatory work on the ground, which includes:
